Hi,

Just checking your RenderWorld demo out, can you confirm that the data set for your demo is the same as the Tiger data that we purchased?

We purchased the Tiger and World data from yourselves about a year ago and have still not managed to get round to implementing it.

I ask because we have a requirement for a map of a specific region and the detail looks good on your demo, I want to make sure that the World data we have includes at least the same level of data. Otherwise we will have to source more maps.

Thanks in advance

Ryan,

Thank you for the post, RenderWorld is not based on the TIGER data but is based primarily on a subset of the World data set.  What we did was take the raw World dataset and combine the various areas of the world into one shapefile for the entire globe.  We also scaled down the size of the tabular data  in some cases so they would only have the data render world needed.

Hi,

Thanks for that. Just to confirm, the data you used for Render World is a subset of the world data that we also purchased, so we will potentially be able to get the same level of detail or greater?

Most of the data for RenderWorld comes from the World data that you bought. Only a few general layers are not from the World data. We can apply your cost of the World data as a discount for the purchase of RenderWorld if you are interested.
