I am new to Render USA, so bear with me.

I'm seeing certain roads that disappear when smaller streets are visible.  The key road in question is Loop 337 in New Braunfels, TX.  This loop continues all the way around the North West side of town and touched IH 35 a second time.  You can see this with the Render USA data if you zoom in far enough.

This is a major thoroughfair and has been there for more than a decade.  Why is it not showing in the higher zoom levels?  Is there a tweak I can do that would keep it visible at higher extents?

Thank you in advance for any help provided.

Karl

Karl,

Thanks for your post!

The layers of Render USA are rendered in a way that keeps the performance of the Map high and in most cases should show the user an appropriate amount of map data at a given zoom level. Unfortunately it is impossible for us to test view every road at every threshold and it maybe that particular road was defined by the USGS so that it belongs to a different road type. If this is the case then it would take a significant data change to resolve.

An alternative is to modify the Render USA code so that the layer, that your 'loop' exists on, is renderered at a less zoomed in level. You can do this by modifying the Upper and Lower Thresholds until the that layer displays at a zoom level that suits you.
