Hello,

I've been trying to display maps from Oracle Spatial in ThinkGeo.MapSuite for Silverlight, however nothing is shown yet. Apparently the connection is working fine, using ThinkGeo's API I can access map feature properties, like the total quantity of features in a Spatial table.

I think it would be very useful to have a complete list of requirements that Oracle Spatial must provide in order to allow ThinkGeo Map to display the data, for example: a table with geometry data, metadata, data visualization styles, etc.

I think the problem could be the coordinate system or map scale, or units, but since I don’t get any error I don't know what could be missing...

I'm trying to display data contained in a table called States, it has a SDO_GEOMETRY column. The original data was created with MapInfo (it uses its own table for general geo column metadata, however the geo data is stored in normal Oracle Spatial tables).

Do you have any suggestion?

Hi CESAR,

The “SDO_GEOMETRY” column and “USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA” is required for Map Suite if we want to show the map with Oracle Spatial. As I guessed, you loaded the data from Oracle on server side using SilverlightMapConnector, and then use it with ServerOverlay on client side, if I’m right, I think there should be something wrong with the MapUnit or the CurrentExtent, do you mind post a code snip here or give us a sample without data, so that we can debug it?

Thanks,
Johnny
