 WorldMapKitDesktopOverlay Not Showing on Some Networks Workstations. Is there a fire wall setting. It work on some machines and not others. 

Thank I get a Reason for this.

Hi Tim,

WorldMapKitDesktopOverlay doesn't has any fire wal setting, I think the problem is caused by the networks speed, the server is located at USA, if you are on other place, you may get timeout exception.

The networks have firewalls on them what ip addresses and ports do I need to allow ?

Tim,

There is no port and fixed ip for the server, could you access "http://worldmapkit1.thinkgeo.com/CachedWmsServer/WmsServer.axd" ?
If you got "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." I think it should be working.

I got it to work by open ip 184.73.225.206 and Range 107.20.0.1-107.22.254.254 on our firewall.
Is this ok to do it this way ?

It's ok if the WorldMapKitDesktopOverlay is working in that machine.
